President General of AWUA to address convention

johnduome@gmail.com
Subject: [Abagana] The President-General of AWU Will Be With Us at the 14th AWUA Annual Convention

I have been directed to inform you that it has been confirmed that the President-General of AWU, Dr. I. I. Onwubuya (Okosisi Abagana) and his wife will attend this year’s convention at Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Onwubuya had been invited to attend the 13th annual convention at Houston, Texas last year but could not make it. This year, we are honored and blessed that Okosisi Abagana and Mrs. Onwubuya will be with us at the convention.

Please come and join the rest of umu Abagana at Atlanta to welcome the President-General. We are sure he will have a lot to tell us about what we need to know of our great town – Abagana. This is the first time a President-General of AWU is travelling outside Nigeria on an official business and we are honored that he is coming to the US, and to Atlanta, Georgia in particular. We would want all of us to be part of this great experience. If you have not made your reservations, please do so immediately. If you would need help with hotel reservation, please contact the President of AWUGA – Austin Obeki – at austob@bellsouth.net or (678) 429-8277

While we are at it, may we solemnly remember the Ifeadike family of Umudunu Abagana, particularly Walter, Sam Maduka, Eloka and Uloma – who are mourning the passing on of their mothers – Mrs. Gladys Ogbenne Ifeadike who joined our ancestors on June 10 in Nigeria, and Mrs. Catherine Ifeadike who passed on at Atlanta, Georgia on July 9.

We request that you reach out to our grieving brothers  – Walter (770-861-2234), Sam Maduka (404-395-0997), Eloka (678- 985-0655 H; 678- 491-3752 C) and Uloma  (678-468-9389 C;) We know this is a very trying period for them. Our thoughts are with them and we pray that our good Lord will bless them with the fortitude to deal with their maternal loss.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you at Atlanta, Georgia. Have a safe trip.

Thank you,

Sam C. Okudah
Publicity Secretary
